The White River Alliance has been a client of Jackson Sky for a long time. We’ve worked with them on many branding and print projects over the years and were very excited to team up with them not only to design their new site but also consult on their overall strategy and approach to their site.
The previous site wasn’t doing much to help their mission of improving and protecting water resources in Central Indiana. The site was sterile and provided a great deal of information but wasn’t connecting the user with the issues facing them in – literally – their own backyard.
The goal of the new site was to focus on public campaigns that allowed people to clearly see the connection to the river in their everyday life. In addition to these fundraising campaigns, the Alliance wanted a new feature on the site that uses live data to show what is happening with the White River at this very moment. A page was created that shows the live conditions of the river at various checkpoints. It includes rainfall and water levels, contamination levels, water temperature, wind speed and more.
The new website also better organizes their programs, events and other information that was previously scattered about the site. Check out the look and features at thewhiteriveralliance.org.
