The Project
Before working with Jackson Sky, Lake Institute on Faith & Giving only had a section on the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy website. Updating that section was cumbersome and limited in flexibility. They needed a custom, full-featured website of their own, along with a refreshed logo and new print materials to align with an updated visual brand.
Our Approach
In addition to refreshing their logo, Jackson Sky worked with Lake Institute to organize their content and refine their website strategy. The custom website design features a soft color palette and complementary fonts that bring visual appeal to the site’s extensive content.
Solution & Results
Jackson Sky developed a full WordPress website, building each page with the audience and user experience in mind. A robust resource library with over 400 items was created, offering multiple search and filter options. After the launch, Jackson Sky provided a detailed instruction manual and training, making it easy for Lake Institute to update content and build new pages in WordPress without needing additional development support.

Logo Refresh
Prior to the redesign, the Lake Institute logo posed several challenges. There was no one-color version or alternate variations, and the relationship between the mark and the type was unbalanced, making it difficult to use in certain layouts.
The new logo is a refreshed take on the original design. The mark has been simplified, and the wave now emphasizes an upward curve—symbolizing a positive trajectory in relation to financial giving. The updated typeface is modern and approachable, pairing seamlessly with the mark.

Print & Digital Materials
In addition to the logo and website, we’ve continued working with Lake Institute to rebrand a wide range of their printed and digital materials. These include brochures, flyers, reports, PowerPoint templates, notebooks, statistical graphics, and coursebooks—some of which are over 150 pages long.
